The first issue of one of the premier titles ever to be issued!!
Overstreet ranks this as the 75th top book of the 100 most expensive
Golden Age comics. As of February 14, 2009, there are only four higher certified copies than
this one, and the prices on those will reach into the stratosphere!!!
Highest graded copy (tied with the Mile High). The Rockford pedigree is
one of the more sought after pedigrees, and this page quality is one of
the best that pedigree has to offer.
Batman, Superman, Flash cameo; Last Hourman; Doiby Dickles app.
Overstreet 2007 VF/NM 9.0 value = $3,726; NM- 9.2 value = $5,300.
Comparable sales: Just a
tad below the highest graded copy at CGC 9.2, which last sold for
$4,255 three years ago! Another CGC 9.0 copy sold two
years ago for $3,254. In the Mastro Auction of August 16, 2006,
a CGC 9.0 copy received a high bid of nearly $3,200 but failed to meet
an unknown reserve.
